MISSION OF GATEWAY FUTSAL                                                                                                            

To provide an environment for players of all levels and ages to play and learn the game of futsal.  Gateway will do this by:

- Focusing on skill development and fun vs. winning.  
- Utilizing US Soccer certified referees who understand the spirit and art of the game.
- Matching teams of similar skill in appropriate divisions and age groups where possible
 

 HISTORY OF GATEWAY FUTSAL                                                                                                           

Gateway Futsal, an affiliate of US Youth Futsal, is the only US Soccer sanctioned futsal league in St. Louis.  Since its beginning in 2003, Gateway has been one of the largest youth futsal leagues in the United States.  Last year Gateway Futsal had 204 teams with over 2000 players participating, making it the 2nd largest youth futsal league in the country.

Gateway’s Winter League features teams in every age group and gender from U8 through High School.  High-quality officiating, fair and balanced competition superior facilities and outstanding service has kept coaches, players and parents returning to play year after year.

In January of 2010, Gateway hosted the first Midwest Regional Futsal Tournament with 32 team participating.  The Regional is a qualifier for the National tournament.  The 2011 tournament grew to 52 teams.  This year’s tournament will be held January 14 and 15, 2012.

 UNITED STATES YOUTH FUTSAL AND OUR AFFILIATIONS                                                                   

	UNITED STATES YOUTH FUTSAL is the only national futsal organization affiliated with US Soccer. With over 40 leagues throughout the country, 5 Regional tournaments and a National Championship, it is the fastest growing futsal organization in the U.S.
	US SOCCER – Is the governing body of all soccer in the United States. Its mission is to make soccer, in all its forms, a preeminent sport in the United States and to continue the development of soccer at all recreational and competitive levels.
	USSSA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop and expand the game of soccer in the United States. USSSA has been an affiliate of US Soccer since July, 2001.  USSSA registers, sanction and provides insurance for leagues, clubs, academies and players.
