The Talent Code

You already know that practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect.  This is accomplished by repeating skills at high intensity levels.

Daniel Coyle, author of "The Talent Code" names that process as deep practice. Coyle says that "operating at the edges of your ability, makes us smarter".  He uses an example of Brazilian Futsal. For Coyle, Futsal is the "perfectly designed game" to develop soccer talent. Many of us Futsal aficionados could have told you that already, but in The Talent Code, Coyle presents both scientific and empirical research to confirm our enthusiasm for soccer's smaller sister.
