FutsalRVA, out of Richmond,VA, was one of the first 5 leagues to be sanctioned by Super F League, an 8-year US Soccer Affiliate now known as U.S. Youth Futsal.

With teams in every age group and gender from U8 through high school, FutsalRVA has high-quality officiating, fair and balanced competition, superior facilities and outstanding services which have kept players returning to play year after year.
FutsalRVA built-out their first facility in 2012. Due to incredible growth over a few short years, 2 additional facilities operating as Own Touch Soccer and Futsal, has been "home" to FutsalRVA.
In 2010, FutsalRVA had an average of 42 teams. During the 2014/15 winter futsal season, 175 teams with over 1200 players participated. "FutsalRVA works side-by-side with club leadership in the area to promote futsal as a player development initiative."
Futsal is now gaining recognition as an important tool for developing soccer players in the United States. "FutsalRVA recognizes that the introduction of a futsal program can positively impact key areas of player development in all levels and ages," Simmonds continued. "The clubs recognize this and we work in tandem."

FutsalRVA has a number of grassroot programs including Footy Mites (ages 5-7), Juniors (ages 6-8) and a year-round developmental and advanced Academy (ages 9-14). With over 200 players involved in these programs, FutsalRVA heavily focuses on player development through improving technical ability, game awareness and tactical decision making. Training provides challenging technical drills, games and exercises in order to increase confidence and enhance critical foot skills. Training will also build upon the fundamentals of dribbling, creativity, decisions under pressure, and passing in a fast-paced format. The program is designed to build the foundation for teaching tactical components that will improve the players understanding of the game. FutsalRVA Developmental Academy trains once per week during club season and twice in the off-season.
