U.S. Futsal Men’s National Team Head Coach, Keith Tozer Forms New Futsal Company.

MILWAUKEE, WI (December. 4, 2014) – Keith Tozer is pleased to announce the formation of the Midwest Futsal Association (MFA) and Wisconsin Futsal League (WFL).

Under the guidance of Keith Tozer, U.S. Futsal Men’s National Team Head Coach, FIFA Futsal Instructor, and Technical Director of U.S. Youth Futsal, the MFA will be leading the charge to transform the Midwest into a mecca for Futsal. The MFA and WFL are affiliated with U.S. Youth Futsal, as well as U.S. Soccer.

Futsal allows players to improve their skills in a fun, safe environment.  It facilitates far greater and more efficient skill development than any other variation of soccer.  It is largely a non-contact sport played without walls, boards or turf and officiated by professional, licensed and experienced Futsal referees.

The MFA is a company specifically promoting the sport of Futsal throughout the Mid-West.  In 2015, the MFA will be hosting adult and youth Futsal leagues, Futsal tournaments, Futsal education and coaching seminars, and Futsal exhibition games.

The WFL will be kicking off its youth league in February and will run thru March, and will play at University School Milwaukee (USM) in River Hills, Wisconsin.  The league will consist of both boys and girls from U8-U18. Registration fees for each team will be $650 and include eight (8) matches (discounts provided for multiple club teams).  All players will be registered under U.S. Youth Futsal for a calendar year at an additional fee of $10, which covers registration fees and secondary insurance. To register or for more information please visit: www.midwestfutsalassociation.com

Joining Keith Tozer to make up the MFA are Hewerton Moreira, Director of Operations; Allison Philips, Director of Corporate Sales and Marketing, and James Moran, Director of Public Relations and Social Media.

Hewerton Moreira grew up in Brazil playing Futsal and played professionally for Santos. Moreira is currently playing for the Chicago Mustangs, and is the President of the BraSa Futsal Academy.  Allison Philips previously worked for the Milwaukee Wave and is the President of Edge Promotions.  James Moran grew up in England and is the Founder and Executive Director of the Milwaukee Soccer Development Group (MSDG).

Anyone interested in media coverage, sponsorship, or further information about the Midwest Futsal Association can inquire via email to jmoran@milsoccerdg.com or by phone at (414) 902-0148.

Tozer was first introduced to the game of Futsal in 1986 when he was the captain of the United States Futsal National Team that competed at the first international Futsal tournament in Budapest, Hungary.  Since then, Tozer has guided the team for the past 17 years.  As their head coach, Tozer’s teams have played in a record five CONCACAF Championships, winning two CONCACAF Gold medals.  Tozer is only one of two Americans who represent FIFA as a Futsal instructor.

"Keith and his expertise are tremendous assets to our expanding network of Futsal leagues around the country”, said U.S.Youth Futsal co-founder and Executive Director, Jon Parry.  “His impressive Futsal background and influence within the national Futsal scene is a huge opportunity for our players and coaches.  We fully expect that with the addition of Keith, the game of Futsal will play a larger role in the U.S. soccer arena.”

“What better endorsement for the U.S.Youth Futsal  brand but to have the highest level Futsal coach in the U.S. affiliate with us!  Coach Tozer has been a contributor to our growth from the very start of our organization.  We are extremely pleased Keith has joined us," says John Sciore, U.S.Youth Futsal Director of Development
