Kalamazoo Portage Futsal League COVID 19 2021 Response Plan

Due to COVID 19 and to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the community, new procedures have been established for the start of the 2020 Fall Futsal League

All Registrations will be completed online.

Players/Coaches/Staff must affirm they are Free of Covid19 Symptoms before entering the facility (See list of Questions)

Players/Coaches/Staff will submit to temperate tests prior to each game

Everyone is required to wear a mask while inside the facility, includes players, spectators, staff, and referees.

Only 1 parent/spectator allowed per player

Players should plan to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before their first game and be prepared to leave immediately following the conclusion of the match.

There will be a ONE-WAY traffic flow at Each Facility.

There will be a 15 minute break between games to allow for the transition. Please help us stay on schedule by leaving promptly.

Entrance to WMU will be from the East end and into the second floor. After games are completed, ALL teams will EXIT through the first floor East end Exit.


Balls are sanitized before each game and at half time

Players are discouraged from touching the ball with their hands, use your feet. Referees and Coaches have been informed of this as the ball may be moving while trying to play it back in. This rule will be relaxed to avoid making players stop the ball with their hands before playing the ball back into play.

Social Distancing is required

Pinnies for opposing teams and players/goalies will NOT be available. Please ensure your team has more than one color.

We are discouraging players/teams from shaking hands after games. Please use verbal praise for your opponent after the game.

KP Futsal League staff will:

Provide an enhanced the Cleaning Schedule. Sanitize door handles, bathrooms, balls, and other high touch areas.

Provide hand sanitizing stations

Comply with all government regulations regarding masks as stated in executive orders

Provide additional training to KP Futsal Staff regarding COVID19

We ask that all players/parents/coaches/spectators comply with the required regulations to ensure the health and safety of our community.


Screening Questions and Temperature Checks for players, referees, and KP Futsal Staff


1. Do you have, or have you had in the last two (2) days, any of the symptoms below that are unrelated to a known health condition?

COVID-19 symptoms?

Either fever, cough, or shortness of breath;


3.            Two or more of the following:

chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell?

4. Have you had close contact in the last fourteen (14) days with someone displaying symptoms of or diagnosed with COVID-19?

“Close contact” means you have been within six feet of someone described in this section for at least 15 minutes or as otherwise defined by the CDC.

5. KP Futsal will Check temperatures of staff at the start of each shift to identify anyone with a fever of 100.4 or greater (or reported feelings of feverishness).
