Here are the results of the 2013 US Youth Futsal Regionals. Finalist and Champions automatically qualify for the 2013 US Youth Futsal Nationals that will be held next month. Congratulations to the Champions and Finalist.

• Great Lakes Regional Futsal Tournament-January 5 & 6, 2013 in Akron/Cleveland 
• Midwest Regional Futsal Tournament-January 19 & 20, 2013 in St. Louis
• Northeast Regional Futsal Tournament-January 19-21, 2013 in the Boston Area
• Atlantic Regional Futsal Tournament-February 2 & 3, 2013 in Sewell
• Western Regional Futsal Tournament-June 7-9, 2013 in San Diego

Jon Parry (Director of USYF), Otto Orf (Director of Great Lakes Futsal), Tom Bellen (Director of Futsal NH and Futsal CT), Soorena Farboodmanesh (Director of Officials-Massachusetts Futsal Association) and others attended Futsal Clinics in Spain to deepen in thier understanding of the LNFS Clubs, working methods, enhancing the development of players from lower categories and more.  

Futsal is a great skill developer as it demands quick reflexes, fast thinking, pin-point passing. The small, heavier futsal ball requires players to hone their ball-striking and ball handling technique. Great soccer superstars such as Pele, Zico, Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka and Katia grew up playing the game and credit futsal with developing their skills. 

Hear it from the Spain’s and Brazil’s Super Stars how Futsal has benefit their Soccer game.  

Michel Bastos stated "It’s a technical game, you play short passes, it’s quick, and Brazilians love that".

Xavi Hernández, explains his own love of futsal, saying: "You can see the talent of the footballer; perhaps in regular football you cannot appreciate the talent, everything is more physical."
